Multiplicity Project

In this assignment, we used Adobe Photoshop to create one image using 6 different pictures of ourselves in the same background. I took all the pictures with timer cam and then used tools in photoshop to make it appear like I am interacting with myself in the final result.

This was the final result I came up with.

Above are the 6 images I used.

Somewhere Project

In this project, we used Adobe Photoshop to edit ourselves into a picture of our choice. Naturally, I chose to make it look like me and young Leonardo DiCaprio were in love. 😊

This was my original image I took of myself with a self-timer camera against a neutral background, which I could later create a mask in Photoshop and use to paste into an image of Leo.

This is the image I chose to paste myself into.

This is my final project. I found the black and white image to be surprisingly difficult to edit into, but overall I am happy with the result.

Black and White to Color Projects

In this project, we used Adobe Photoshop to transform an original image into a black and white image, then adding color back using a 5 color palette. We made three separate images.

This was my original image I used, which I later transformed into a black and white image using settings in Photoshop.

The above three images are the final projects I ended up with. They are not perfect as I need more practice with the layering in Photoshop but overall, I am pretty happy with how they turned out.

Poster Project

In this project, we used Adobe Illustrator to create an original poster using a 5 color palette inspired by late rock posters. We also added a short message to each poster pertaining to what we were doing in them.

This was my final poster with five color palette. I decided to use the John Lennon quote "Peace and love are eternal."

This is the original image I used that I later transformed into the above poster.

Calligram Project

In this project, we had to write a letter to our future selves, then using that letter's words to create a calligram self portrait. A calligram is a drawing using only words. We made this project using Adobe Illustrator and played with different layers and text options to create the image.

This was my final calligram. I included the letter in the background as well as different words and phrases used to "draw" my face.

This was the original image I had for reference.
Above is the letter I wrote to my future self.

(Side Note: This project made me reflect heavily on my life and how far I've come, better yet how far I will go.)

Business Cards Project

In this project, we used our logos from the previous assignment (my "fun" logo) and transformed them into business cards (both horizontal and vertical) using Adobe Illustrator. We also placed the logos onto three dimensional shapes to show how they would look on different products if they were printed.

This is my logo on different three-dimensional shapes.
This is my horizontal business card.

This is my vertical business card.

Logo Project

In this project, we had to choose a word that we thought best represented us, and then transform that word into a logo that was simple, memorable, timeless, versatile, appropriate, and universal using the skills we learned in Adobe Illustrator. For my project, I chose the word fun and decided to make the "U" in fun a smiley face to represent my fun personality. I then put my logo on different backgrounds and in different version of black and white to show its versatility.

My logo still with colored letters, this time on a black background.
